What are the common Permanent Hair Removal Methods?

Before we get into the details of Permanent Hair Removal methods, there are some words of caution. These methods are considered to be being imperfect and may have some serious side effects on the patients health or skin. These permanent methods for Hair removal may use chemicals, heat or light energy of differnt magnitude and types, or a combination of them, with an aim to affect the areas such that the hair growth is blocked.
However, the problem is that these methods may not be suitable for all and may hurt your skin badly. it might affect the skin tissues, blood vessels in that area badly. Not only that, they might have effects beyond skin disorders and might cause problems at other parts of your body. Hence, be cautious while going for these kinds of treatment and take them after thoroughly consulting your doctor or skin specialist.
There are safer methods like Temporary Hair Removal Methods, which do not have that level of side effects and problems.

* Electrolysis for Hair Removal(also known as electrology):
This is the only method approved by the FDA for permanent hair removal. The way this method works is as follows:
An electric current is applied at the affected body part from where the hairs are to be removed. This current is aimed at destroying the root of the hair permanently, so that there is no future growth. electrolysis for Hair Removal can be of 3 types: galvanic, thermolysis and blend.
The problems are since an electric current is applied, it may affect your skin like change in color, etc. You may be requried to come for multiple sessions for this treatment for hair removal and it may cost you anywhere around 50 USD per session.

* Laser Technique for Hair Removal:
In this method, A laser device is used to send pulsed light energy on the affected body part to remove the dark pigment or color of hair. This makes the hair dead and it begins to fall. It may take around 10-15 days for the affected area's hair to be dropped completely.

* Intense Pulsed Light (Flashlamp, EpiLight) to eliminate the hair in the affected area completely.
