Massage is the convenient practice of giving a pleasing (sometimes hard) application of pressure by touching, handling or kneading to a particular body part, which results in a soothing feeling to that affected body part in terms of easing out pain, relaxation, relieving tension, etc.
Massage Therapy is actually the same exercise of providing massage to affected body parts - with an aim to temporarily manipulate the soft tissues of the body part so as to give the pleasing effects like easing out pain, relaxation, relieving tension, etc. The aim can be categorized as physical (anatomical) relief, a functional (i.e. physiological) soothing experience, or even for a psychological purpose.
Massage can be given with certain kinds of oil, ointments, creams or with bare hands. Sometimes mecahanical, electrical or elctronic instruments are also used for this purpose of Massage Therapy.
