What are the causes of Acne?
Acne are caused by blockage in follicles. Whitehead Acnes are a result of skin pores becoming clogged with sebum, a naturally occurring oil, and dead skin cells which result in acnes. It is observed that a particular bacteria may cause inflammation to them. This may turn the acne into red color and may also leave a scar.
There are many more reasons for acnes to come up:
- Family or Genetic History of Acne
- Hormonal activity - menstrual cycles or puberty
- Inflammation
- Stress and Anxiety are also known to lead to Acne
- Dead skin cells which may block the skin pores
- Existence of Bacteria in the pores
- Excessive use of anabolic steroids may also lead to acnes & pimples
- Exposure to certain checmicals like dioxins
- Exposure to halogens
- Repeated use of amphetamines
- Some women might get acnes during pregnancy
- Problems with menstrual cycles
- Irregular eating habits may also lead to acnes
- Lower levels of Vitamin A and Vitamin E in the blood
- Untidy hygiene, something which can block the skin pores can cause acnes

Great Blog you have here. I would like to add that to your post. Research indicates that as your skin renews itself, the old cells die, mix with your skin's natural oils, and are sloughed off. Under normal circumstances, these cells shed gradually and make room for fresh new skin. However, uneven shedding leads to dead cells becoming sticky and clumping together to form a comedo (plug). This plug traps oil and bacteria inside the follicle.
It is all detailed here at my website www.acnetreatmentinfo.co.uk it also has info on laser treatments and scar removal as well as how to cure acne and its evil devices hehe
