Light-based therapies work by targeting and destroying P.acnes bacteria and reducing inflammation. P. acnes bacteria produces natural chemicals called porphyrins which are sensitive to light at different wavelengths. When stimulated, these porphyrins neutralise P.acnes bacteria, without whose presence the inflammation subsides. For more information follow this link www.acnetreatmentinfo.co.uk
