Cervical cancer is a kind of problem or disease which is known to affect the part called cervix in the females. Cervix is a part falling within the reproductive system of females. It is located as the lower part of the uterus and it acts as a connector between the upper vagina & the uterus.
As for the dimensions, Cervix is around two inches long. For the reproduction, like while childbirth or delivery, the cervix dilates, thereby it allows the infant to move from the uterus to the vagina.

The problems and diseases associated with Cervix may cause Cervical Cancer. One of the main problems of Cervical Cancer is that it is really hard to detect during the initial stages, as the Symptoms are not clear early on.

What are the harmful effect of Cervical Cancer?
Cervical Cancer has many harmful effects. Death can also be caused due to Cervical Cancer. As far as the region wise data is concerned, US has managed to cut down on deaths due to Cervical Cancer, because of advanced methods of Treatment and high level of awareness. But in the so called developing countries, Cervical Cancer is still known as the mass killer - it is learnt to be the second most common disease causing the death of women.
